The most common use of the abbreviated day schedule occurs when severe weather causes street conditions which would endanger the safety of students going to school. The abbreviated day schedule is a shortened school day which begins two hours later than the regular schedule and ends at the regular time. Morning pick-up times will also be two hours later. While some schools may have different bell schedules, most school on an abbreviated day schedule will utilize the following instructional times:
Kindergarten No Morning Kindergarten. Afternoon kindergarten will be held on a regular schedule. High School 9:45a.m. to 2:30p.m. Middle School 10:30a.m. to 3:00p.m. Elementary School 11:00a.m. to 3:30p.m. * * This schedule also applies on Wednesdays. No scheduled time deviations will be honored.
